UX/UI Designer - Lead/Senior

As a UX/UI Designer you will be primarily focused on supporting the services team and the client during the Discover and Design phases of the project with particular focus on introducing Infinity CX design best practices to enhance client understanding of the subject and then analysing and providing commentary to the information provided by the client including: Brand Standards, Style Guide, Interactive Guide (if applicable), Branding/Image Assets, Typography Assets, Links to existing T&C/Privacy policy/Disclaimers, any existing user flows or customer journey maps including prototypes, customer personas and empathy maps.

 

What will you be doing?

 

  • Participate/lead UX discovery and framing through iterative development and delivery
  • During the Discover phase:
    • Work with the CX, analysts and/or the client to understand requirements, prepare wireframes, review, and finalize designs
    • Work with the development team to assess technical feasibility of the designs and revise accordingly
  • During the design phase:
    • Deliver pixel-perfect designs for every screen state, with analytical descriptions of all design patterns, styles (fonts, colors, dimensions, margins, padding, etc.), typography, layouts, animations, assets (images & icons, buttons etc.), resolutions
    • Work closely with the development team to ensure that the UI is as per the designs and resolve any issues which may require UI adjustments.
    • Observe and follow Software Engineering style coding standards and design assets naming conventions
  • Provide realistic effort estimations for both the design and development processes.
  • Perform UI audit of all the deliverables from the development team.
  • Support the QA testing team in UI related questions/issues.
  • Ensure that the product UI guidelines are followed in a consistent manner.
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards.
  • Keep-up with the UI Design trends and guidelines & research Web and Mobile App Design best practices.
  • International travel and working at client locations may be required.

What do your qualifications look like?

 

  • Degree in Graphics Design. Further studies in an IT related subject will be considered a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience as a UX/UI designer or similar role
  • Knowledge of the UI principles and guidelines for Web UI Design.
  • Satisfactory knowledge of Graphics Design Tools (e.g. Photoshop, Figma, Sketch, Quark Xpress, etc.).
  • Proficient in JavaScript, HTML 5 & CSS 3.0.
  • Experience with Java/Groovy, Angular 1.x, Git, LESS
  • Experience with designing accessible websites/app - WCAG2.1
  • Excellent command & usage of English (written & verbal).
  • Prior experience in digital banking software will be considered a plus.
  • Having worked in an international environment across multiple cultures is desired.
  • Experience with Temenos Infinity is a distinct advantage.
